EDWIN LEE

EDWIN LEE is recognised by the Singapore Academy of Law as a Senior Specialist in Construction Law. Edwin is cited as a leading Singapore construction law practitioner in Euromoney’s Guide to the World's Leading Construction Lawyers. Chambers & Partners has ranked him in Band 1 for Construction. Edwin is the Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Mediation Centre’s Construction Adjudicator Accreditation Committee. He has conducted hundreds of adjudication cases as counsel, adjudicator and review adjudicator and acted in numerous landmark Court of Appeal cases on adjudication and construction law.

Edwin's expertise also lies in real estate projects. Edwin led a team of lawyers in two of the largest collective sale transactions in Singapore, worth $970m and $890m. Edwin also handles tax appeal for income tax and property tax cases. Alongside his active practice, Edwin is an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design, and a trainer for the Building & Construction Authority on Construction Law. 

 

Edwin is the co-author of the books Confidentiality in Arbitration (2007) and Amendments to the SOP Act (2019). He is a general editor of the annual Singapore Construction Adjudication Review, and the Construction Law editor for the Singapore Academy of Law’s journal SAL Practitioner. His textbook Building Contract Law in Singapore, now into its 4th Edition, was recently published in 2024.
